The way I understand it if you have over 10,000-15,000 skipped beats per 24 hour then they need usually do a catheter ablation or try to calm down the heart with arrythmic drugs which I hear can cause you heart to have even more problems with the skipping and have read online from doctors saying that sometimes the strong arrythmic drugs can sometimes cause a simple pvc problems to turn into a bad case of A-fib.The beta blockers are the first route before going to the strong arrythmics.Sometimes the underlying problem is not as easy to resolve like reflux, anxiety, being low of vital vitamins, being anemic or having a more serious underlying cause. It may be even harder to stop drinking, smoking and to stop drinking alot of coke and coffee. They said that I did have what they call Trace Mitral Valve Regurgatation.I forgot to say that besides the very slight Mitral Valve regurgatation which was most likely from being a little dehydrated, everything else looked great with my heart.I left out that even with a healthy heart if you have over 10,000-15,000 extra beats they usually want to treat that with a catheter ablation. the minute I got all the news my heart WAS healthy the pvcs have lessened and don't feel as pronounced. the minute I got all the news my heart WAS healthy the pvcs have lessened and don't feel as pronounced.Check out the doctor chat link around the middle of this blog from a Cleveland Clinic doctor, there is alot of good info in the Q&A. anxiety thinking you are in some heart trouble situation sure can ramp up the nasty feelings. anxiety thinking you are in some heart trouble situation sure can ramp up the nasty feelings.
