Windows live one care not updating

I upgraded from Windows 7 Premium to Windows 8 Pro 64bit in my Asus U36SG and for a while everything went well and I was really enjoying the new Start screen in WIN8.News and finance app get live updates (I can see them updating from the start screen) but I still can not open them. I ran the Windows Store App troubleshooter but it doesn't solve the problem.
